What is your connection to the South Downs National Park?
• I live in the National Park
My favourite place in the South Downs National Park is:
Stanmer Park
I love this place because:
It is a large wood which gives plenty of space to explore and move through. There paths are well maintained so it is good for running and when i go for walks with my mum who is disabled so needs a well maintained path. There always a wonderful music of bird song and i have been lucky enough to see some rare birds while in the park. There are some places througout stanmer which i love to sit and be by myself, the views and green space are great. There is a cafe and public toilets in the village which mean i can stay in the park all day if i would like. Not so much anymore as i have become more risk adverse but the mountain biking trails are the best in the local area and always well maintained. Although not linked to the park itself, i find myself meeting friendly and interesting people when walking through the park which is great for my mum.
